Good causes and
days out for children
At Glasgow Taxis Ltd. it’s not just about taking your money. Our staff and taxi drivers put their time and money back into good causes.
One of the main events we support is the Glasgow Taxi Outing Fund for Sick Children. This famous children’s day out has been run since 1945, started by just three Glasgow taxi drivers and now involving around 150 cabs taking upwards of 400 children with special needs on a festive parade to Troon, complete with fancy dress (for the taxis as well as the drivers!) and lots of treats for the children.
You can find out more about the Glasgow Taxi Outing Fund at http://www.glasgowtaxioutingfund.org.uk or phone 0141 332 7949.
Charity Work
Glasgow Taxis also support other charities and smaller individual groups in the local community through our charity work, charity donations and attendance at local events and fairs.
The Prince of Wales Hospice is promoted on Glasgow Taxis uniforms, and as part of our charity work we provide the Hospice with transport support.
Glasgow Taxis have made charity donations to local causes, including a donation to support the recently opened Transport Museum.
