GTL driver hopes to fly his yellow flag at Hampden
Glasgow Taxis’ Billy Ogilvie continues on the road to Hampden
Everyone at Glasgow Taxis Ltd would like to congratulate our driver and part-time football manager Billy Ogilvie after he guided East Kilbride FC to a dream William Hill Scottish Cup Fifth Round tie against Celtic.
East Kilbride boss Billy helped the Lowland League side land the biggest fixture in their short history by defeating Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale 2-0, thanks to a stunning volley from Jack Smith and a late Sean Winter goal.
The Fifth Round tie, which will take place at Hamilton Academical’s New Douglas Park and be televised live by BBC Scotland, is on Sunday, 7 February with a 3pm kick-off.
Stephen Flynn, vice chairman of Glasgow Taxis, said: “Many congratulations to Billy and the lads on the victory, from everyone at Glasgow Taxis Ltd. It’s great to hear that the money generated from the cup run will have such a positive impact on the club.”
